The present day exhibition space, in what was once barracks of the Prussian army, still gives an impression of being the barn of a cavalry regiment. Now it appears that Prussian Icarus has fallen here and left his wings behind… or maybe Pegasus made a turn northward and quit his job with Perseus, throwing his wings down…

This art installation plays with the history and appearance of the space, changing it in a way that attempts to captivate as well as demystify. The material and form of the abstraction bars against any attempt at appropriation by stubborn and confused citizens of the empire or a false sense of romanticism.
