Refuge.
"This work probes an analogy or counterpoint with the European Migrant crisis and the flow of refugees seeking asylum with the migrant routes of House Martins and Swallows that migrate without border controls to central and northern Europe. The nest provides a safe haven perched high in the crevices of buildings and dwellings, a temporary lodging away from the industry of war."

The artist will install a nest construction in the ceiling of the gallery made from mud, straw, barb wire, plastic, detritus, connected to a number of archival electrical elements.
